CSCI 349 Applications Development - COBOL

The purpose of this course is to give the student insight into the process of designing and developing commercial grade software. Topics include program structure, debugging techniques, input from and output to multiple sources and destinations, mathematics for business applications, interactive and batch processing, screen design, report design, control break programming, data validation design and coding, array processing, sorting and searching algorithms, sequential and master file processing, indexed file processing and program management. PRQ: Junior standing and CSCI 220 or consent of instructor. Scheduled: As needed. Meets: MNO.
