NURS 306 Health Promotion & Population-Based Nurs

This course highlights the theories and practice of population-based nursing care. The focus is on the provision of population-based care. This course emphasizes clinical prevention and population health using the public health sciences of epidemiology, environmental health, health policy, population assessment, and community interventions. A variety of clinical settings are used to give students a broad and comprehensive perspective of community health nursing interventions. Students complete a community assessment and intervention project. PRQ: NURS 201, NURS 202, NURS 273, NURS 308, NURS 321, NURS 373, ANSO 150, and HDEV 215. Concurrent enrolment in NURS 308, NURS 321, and NURS 373 is permitted. Scheduled: Fall and Spring, yearly. Meets: N, (W for RN-BSN Majors) Lab fee required.
