RELG 379 Special Topics in Religious Studies
This custom course offers a high level of detailed study of religious primary texts or contemporary issues within their historical, political, and religious context. The set of texts may lie within one tradition or within a variety of traditions whereas the issues of contemporary significance may cover interdisciplinary currents of thought. Most significant is the emphasis on a scholarly research approach to the subject area suitable to the field of Religious Studies. This description, of course, will vary with each professor teaching the class.
