CHEM 316 Biochemistry II

This one semester course is designed to build on the fundamentals of biomolecular structure, thermodynamics, kinetics, and metabolism, introduced in Biochemistry I, by analyzing advanced topics. The storage and transfer of genetic information will be examined in depth. Current topics will be explored using a number of different sources, including the primary literature. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the underlying thermodynamic and kinetic bases of energy metabolism and its regulation. PRQ: CHEM 315. Scheduled: Spring, yearly. Meets: NO.
