NURS 373 Pathophysiology and Pharmacology II
Pathophysiology and Pharmacology is part II of a two-part sequence that addresses pathophysiologic and pharmacologic concepts essential to nursing practice. Pathophysiologic concepts included but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, neurological, pulmonary, cardiac, reproductive and integument disorders are outlined through class lecture, independent evaluation, group analysis, and core concept reconstruction. Pharmacological needs of humans are discussed and dissected as essential for understanding major health problems that occur across the life span. Emphasis is on understanding how and why various pathophysiologic changes occur and the related pharmacologic modes of treatment.
PRQ: NURS 201, NURS 202, NURS 273, NURS 306, NURS 308, NURS 321, and BIOL 230 or BIOL 308.
Concurrent enrolment in NURS 306, NURS 308, and NURS 321 is permitted.
