EDSL 571 Cross-Cultural Education

The role of culture in the American educational system and how various ethnolinguistic groups contribute to the cultural dynamics of the classroom. Participants examine behavioral expectations and learning styles of students of different cultural backgrounds, how teacher expectations can affect the perceptual judgments of individual students, and how multicultural education practices enable students of all backgrounds to succeed in a multicultural world.
