ENGL 154 Introduction to Creative Writing

This course introduces students to the composition of the literary genres of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction. Students will approach the genres from the perspective of the writer and will read representative texts from each genre, including Western and non-Western texts. Special attention will be paid to the craft of composing literary texts, both as explained by published authors and as practiced by students in the class. PRQ: None. Scheduled: Fall and spring, yearly. Meets: LNOR.
