All new students are required to attend an orientation to Rockford University, which is comprised of both Freshman Orientation and Freshman Retreat. Freshman Orientation and Freshman Retreat provide students with an understanding of the expectations both in and out of the classroom and sets the foundation for academic success. Throughout Orientation and Retreat, students will learn about valuable resources on campus, interact with a variety of student leaders, and participate in unique social experiences to make lasting connections with their classmates. Furthermore, Orientation and Retreat are designed to help students connect with their First-Year Advisors and other University staff members, thereby building the supportive relationships that will sustain them during their years at Rockford University.
Freshman Orientation is a one-day event held on-campus during Saturday, August 17th.
Freshman Retreat is held off-campus at the Beber Camp in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Students leave for the retreat on Sunday, August 18th and return on Tuesday, August 20th.
