Religious Studies
Religious Studies at Rockford University instills knowledge of and fosters appreciation for the world’s diverse religious traditions, including their history, methodologies used to study them, as well as the tenor of ongoing religious discourse among individuals, communities and societies in the global context. An academic exploration of major religious traditions in a variety of disciplines develops in our students the capacity to appreciate and articulate intelligently the way religion relates to art, philosophy, history, and culture. Religious Studies minors often major in History, International Studies, or Philosophy.
