Second Baccalaureate Degree

Students who have earned one bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college located in the United States prior to matriculation and would like to earn a second baccalaureate degree from Rockford University must complete a minimum of 30 credits of course work at Rockford University in addition to those credits required for completion of the first baccalaureate degree. These students are deemed to have met all lower-division general education requirements for graduation from Rockford University, and thus are required to complete only one upper-division general education requirement, Rhetoric 351.

The 30 credits minimum must satisfy all general education, major and supporting requirements that are specified in the catalog for the new degree and have not been fulfilled by courses for the first baccalaureate degree.
