CSCI 110 Introduction to Computers and Technology

This course introduces students to computers and the use of technology. Topics include: The evolution of the computer and technology and the role computers and technology have and will play in the development our society; How computers work, an introduction to personal computers, data communication systems, the Internet, the World-wide-web, and an understanding of the use of software and hardware will be covered. Students will understand how information systems work and are incorporated into all areas of society. A knowledge of how the human/computer interface occurs will be studied. PRQ: None.
