CSCI 340 Introduction to JAVA Programming

Introduction to JAVA Programming is a course designed to introduce the student to JAVA software development. Students will write platform-independent, object-oriented code for conventional applications and for Internet- and Intranet-based applets. Topics covered may include fundamental programming principles, concepts and practices; console user interfaces(CUI) and graphical user interfaces (GUI); multimedia (images, animation, and audio); object oriented programming, arrays, basic containers, text processing, inheritance, polymorphism, exception processing, and recursion. A number of programming assignments will be given to enable the student to build real-world JAVA applications. PRQ: CSCI 220. Scheduled: As needed. Meets: MNO
