PSYC 212 Brain and Behavior

Understanding of the biological bases of human behavior depends upon knowledge of the brain and nervous system, including structures, functions, and interactions with the world around us. This course offers an introduction to the study of neuroanatomy, sensory and motor neuroscience, and neural bases for motivation, emotions, sleep, pain, and addictions, among other experiences and behaviors. Critical thinking and communication skills will be emphasized as students explore discoveries in neuroscience and neuropathology. PRQ: PSYC 100. Scheduled: Spring, yearly. Meets: SNO.
