SPAN 397 Spain-Theater/Culture Field Experience
This is a one-credit co-requisite course for SPAN 319 course in Spanish and Spanish American theater. This course will enable students to gain academic credit for study abroad in relation to the Spanish Program offerings. Students will travel to Spain for a short term field experience. While there, they will attend theater performances and meet with playwrights, actors, and directors to learn more about the theater writing and production process. Visits to museums, libraries, and cultural centers will also contribute to their understanding of contemporary Spanish culture. There will be a research project associated with the field experience. Fees are required for travel costs and theater/cultural activities.
