CHEM 105 General Chemistry

This course is an introduction to the principles of chemistry, including types of chemical reactions, atomic structure, chemical bonding, acid-based chemistry, gas laws, molecular geometry, thermochemistry, and nuclear chemistry. Laboratory experiments emphasize proper reporting and analysis of scientific data. 

PRQ: 1 year of high school algebra; high school chemistry recommended.
CO-RQ: Lecture 3 hours, lab 3 hours.
Scheduled: Fall, yearly.
