EDUC 369 Practicum II: The Classroom Ecosystem
(XL: EDUC 569) This course is designed to support students in the cultivation and in the tending of the learning environment. Drawing upon evidence-based practices and theory regarding educational communities, students will explore cultural assets of the classroom, routines and procedures that encourage democratic educational practices, and methods that promote engagement and rigor. Students will survey the classroom as an educational ecosystem in which learners, teacher, and physical environment all play a part in the learning process. This course presents opportunities to consider how a classroom might prepare fertile ground for social, emotional, and cognitive growth to flourish.
