HIST 108 World History II: From 1450 to Present
This lecture and discussion course surveys global historical trends from 1450 C.E. to the present employing broadly thematic and comparative approaches. It centers on global trends leading to modernity and globalization including Atlantic political revolutions and echoes such as abolitionism and expanded suffrage, early modern empires, global commerce, industrial revolutions, colonization, twentieth century wars, decolonization, and accelerating global interactions since 1900.
