BIOL 203 Introduction to Biological Research

This course introduces students to the design and planning of biological research, the analysis of data from biological experiments, and the reporting of experimental results. Experimental design includes proper use of peer-reviewed primary literature and ethics of experimentation. Data analysis will include basic descriptive statistics and several simple types of inferential statistics. Students will design and conduct simple experiments, and learn how to analyze the data from these experiments.

PRQ: BIOL 151 or Instructor permission.
