EDUC 501 Psychological Perspectives of Education

This course applies psychological principles, to help pre-service teachers understand instructional environments; motivation; and the cognitive, emotional, and social development of diverse student populations. Topics include: identification of theorists, shaping the classroom environment, the teacher's role in identifying learning outcomes, effective instructional strategies, and assessment procedures, all which connect psychological principles to classroom practice.
