CBS 101 Secrets of Science
Why is science such an important aspect of life? How is it used in technology and society? What processes do scientists use when dealing with real problems? The focus of this course is on the phenomena behind everyday things, using scientific methods to solve problems, scientific literacy, and the assertion that science has a tremendous effect on your personal life. Topical applications and issues vary with the instructor and may include climate change, food and fuel, and energy use for lighting. Weekly labs will include basic scientific experiments that relate to everyday life.
This course is intended primarily for non-majors.
