DATA 301 Introduction to Data Science

(XL: DATA 501)  This course covers the key concepts and techniques used in Data Science, which combines skills from statistics, machine learning, mathematics, programming, business, and IT. Students will explore various methods for organizing, visualizing, and interpreting data across different domains. The course focuses on both descriptive and predictive analytics using modern programming tools. Real-world business examples will be used to bridge theory with practice. Students will also develop technical skills in Python using Jupyter Notebook to automate Data Science tasks, working with popular libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
