Degree requirements

All students majoring in English are required to take the core and supporting courses. To graduate with a degree in English, students must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the major’s required courses.

Secondary Education Licensure (Grades 6-12)

Students interested in becoming licensed to teach English at the secondary level must complete all English major degree requirements, Education 363, a minor in secondary education, and additional General Education requirements for state licensure.
