CSCI 110 Introduction to Computers and Technology
This course introduces students to computers and the use of technology. Topics include the evolution of the computer and technology; the role computers and technology have and will play in the development our society; how computers work; an introduction to personal computers, data communication systems, the Internet, the World-Wide-Web; and an understanding of the use of software and hardware. A number of hands-on computer exercises are assigned, including using word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
