SPED 357 Math Mthds: Students w/ Disabilities
XL: SPED 557 This course focuses on systematic, explicit, scientifically research-based mathematics instruction and data-driven decision making model. Mathematics topics and assessments are structured around the six areas of mathematics instruction numbers/operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis/probability, and problem solving. Candidates will also incorporate authentic data collection into instructional plans and IEP development.
PRQ: SPED 342; SPED 346; and passing score on the Illinois Basic Skills Exam, or the Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP), or the ACT Plus Writing/SAT composite.
COREQ: Candidates will enroll concurrently in SPED 357 and SPED 356
