EDUC 563 Secondary English Methods (6-12)
Introduction to various methods for teaching writing. Topics to be covered include teaching students about invention; incorporating grammar into writing instruction; teaching students how to revise; integrating reading and writing; designing writing assignments and informal writing activities that enhance learning; assessing student work.
PRQ: Passing score on the Illinois Basic Skills Exam or the Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP) or the ACT Plus Writing/SAT composite.
