This course will provide an overview of molecular biology, which analyzes the biological activity associated with molecular interactions inside the cell. Topics will include DNA replication, transcription, post-transcription, translation and post-translation from a bacterial and eukaryotic perspective, as well as genomics. Molecular tools for studying gene expression will be examined in the lecture and applied in the laboratory section of the course, which will be three hours once a week.
