EDEC 330 Foundations Lang Lit Diverse Learners

XL: EDEC 530 This course examines the theories and foundations of language and literacy development for young diverse learners, particularly children ages birth to five. Students will examine a variety of issues related to literacy instruction for young children, including the importance of oral language and its relationship to literacy, early reading and writing acquisition, family literacy, children’s literature, and assessment and evaluation of early literacy skills.
