HIST 212 Modern Asia

From the beginning of European contact with the Asian world, a clash of cultures shaped the development of both halves of the globe. This course focuses on the 18th-20th century historical experiences of China, India, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia in relation to each other and the Western world that confronted them. PRQ: None.
