THEA 247 Costume Design I

The course will address the basic elements of costume design. The focus will be on realistic drama, developing characters through costuming and period research. Figure drawing and rendering techniques will be emphasized. The student will also be introduced to the basics of flat patterning and draping, including bodices, skirts and pants.
