SOCI 295 Writing in Sociology & Criminal Justice

(XL: CRMJ 295) For most students writing is a difficult task. The purpose of this course is to prepare sociology, criminal justice, and political science students for writing in their respective fields. It will teach students the steps involved in writing papers at the collegiate level for the sociology, criminal justice, and political science disciplines. Students will learn to write a research proposal, literature review, and general research paper for their field. Sociology and Criminal Justice majors and minors must earn a grade of C- or better to enroll in any 300/400-level course in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice.

PRQ: SOCI 150 or CRMJ 250 or POLS 101 or POLS 102, or consent of instructor.
