PSYC 335 Psychology of Personality
Personality can be defined as the set of psychological traits and mechanisms within the individual that are organized and relatively enduring and that influence one's interactions with, and adaptations to, intrapsychic, physical, and social environments. This course will offer a framework for exploring this definition and for understanding the various approaches and limitations to research and assessment of personality within the psychological sciences. Students will be invited to explore personal and real-world applications of these approaches and will gain knowledge about theories of personality, understanding of the various sociocultural and biological factors influencing personality, and enhanced communication skills.
