Success in marketing requires understanding a myriad of fundamental concepts, principles, theories, tools and techniques. Students will gain branding and advertising insight for an integrated business landscape featuring courses in social media, sales, consumer behavior, as well as graphic design. Courses are designed to help students acquire this knowledge and to develop competencies needed throughout a sustainably successful marketing career.
Students who complete the Puri School of Business Marketing degree program are well-prepared for careers in advertising account services or brand management, as well as in related areas such as media planning, social and digital media, or public relations. A career path in marketing may include advertising, retailing, marketing analytics, marketing consulting, professional selling, or healthcare marketing. Career opportunities are also available in manufacturing, wholesale and retail, as well as nonprofit organizations such as universities, government agencies, relief agencies and charitable organizations. Students majoring in marketing are encouraged to consider a minor in either graphic design or entrepreneurship.
