EDUC 641 School Community Partnership Practices

This course introduces partnership practices that learn, honor and build on the funds of knowledge and cultural assets that exist in non-dominant families and communities. Participants will examine the challenges and possibilities for transforming systems and outcomes in schools enabled through shifting power, equitable collaboration and robust partnerships with families and communities. Participants will apply these practices to their school context.

This course includes field experience and internship requirements aligned to the course objectives and Principal Illinois Administrative Endorsement for Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) licensure requirements.
