SOCI 225 Social Science Research Methods

This course examines how social scientists collect and interpret data about the social world. This course will focus on the scientific nature of social science, explore the meaning of empirical evidence, the application of the scientific method, and other common approaches to data and evidence in the social sciences. This course provides an overview of the range of methods available in the social sciences including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method designs. This course also examines ethical issues in social science research.
