SWRK 420 Field Instruction II
In Field Instruction II, students continue their field placements, engaging in more complex casework and responsibilities while applying theoretical frameworks learned previously to deepen practical skills and professional competencies in social work settings. Students will refine their skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation, working closely with clients and communities to implement evidence-based practices. Emphasis will be placed on developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in real-world situations, as well as enhancing cultural competence and ethical decision-making. Weekly seminar sessions will provide a forum for students to reflect on their field experiences, discuss challenges, and share insights with peers and instructors. Through guided supervision with field instructors, students will receive constructive feedback aimed at fostering professional growth and preparing them for post-graduation practice. By the end of Field Instruction II, students will have expanded their understanding of social work practice, honed their ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations, and gained the confidence necessary to transition into their professional careers.
