HDEV 353 Family Dynamics
This course explores the psychological, social, and cultural aspects of family relationships across the lifespan, examining family structures, roles, communication patterns, and the impact of external influences (e.g., socioeconomic status, culture, and public policy) on its dynamics. The course promotes a deeper understanding of how family systems function and adapt in diverse contexts through topics such as parenting, sibling relationships, marital dynamics, family stress and resilience, and the effects of major life transitions (e.g, divorce, aging, and caregiving).
