EDUC 381 Practicum I: PK12/Middle Grades/Secondary
(XL: EDUC 581) This practicum is an introductory field experience for preservice teachers. Practicum I requires 30 hours in an educational setting. Tasks may include: observing classroom instruction and facilitation, developing a plan for cognitive engagement, and teaching a lesson developed with the mentor teacher. This course should be taken with or after EDUC 300. Course will be graded as P or F (pass is 73% or higher). Students must pass this class in order to move on to Practicum II.
