EDUC 337 Elementary Social Studies Methods

XL: EDUC 537 This elementary methods course will identify essential questions that connect and integrate elementary subject areas with a focus on social science. Students will examine learning and instruction in an interdisciplinary approach that focuses on social science curricular content and methodology; developmentally appropriate skills and thinking processes; and assessment strategies. Course topics will include lesson planning, identification of content-area methodologies, differentiated instruction, diverse student populations, the integration of current technology, and development of a standards-based interdisciplinary unit.
