PSYC 351 Psychology of Women

This course will examine the sociocultural, cognitive, and biological influences on the gender development of women and girls across the lifespan. Focus will be on the theories, research, and lived experience of women and girls related to a wide range of topics to include gender-role socialization, gender stereotypes, gendered images and language, gender similarities and differences, physical and mental health, sexuality and sexual orientation, family and other relationships, achievement and work, objectification, discrimination, and violence against women.
