The mission of the Puri School of Business is to develop students for sustainably successful professional careers by blending a strong liberal arts interdisciplinary foundation with a cutting-edge business education. We achieve our mission in an environment characterized by personal attention and experiential learning using innovative teaching techniques, civic engagement, and the latest technology. Developed, mentored, and empowered throughout their studies, our students transform into business influencers and leaders of high moral character.

Bachelor Degree
Designed to provide engaging, holistic, and sustainable foundational business knowledge, our traditional undergraduate program consists of a dynamic liberal arts, core business, and discipline-specific curriculum. Classes are offered either 2-3 times a week during the day or online. In the fall and spring terms, classes are offered in 16 week formats. In the summer terms, classes are offered in 8 week formats. The Puri School of Business offers you an opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Arts*, or a Bachelor of Science degree in the following MAJORS:
• Accounting
• Financial Economics
• Organizational Leadership
• Marketing
• Economics, Finance Track
Our Puri School of Business offers the following MINORS:
• Accounting
• Business Administration
• Economics
• Entrepreneurship
• Marketing
And our Economics Degree offers a track in Finance.
*Our Bachelor of Arts Degree program includes a foreign language component.
Departmental Internship Requirement
The Puri School of Business requires all of its daytime traditional undergraduate majors to complete an internship. This must be done within the framework of 398/498 courses in each of the department’s disciplines and includes internship activities conducted while attending Rockford University.
Online Degree Completion Program
We offer three degrees in the Adult Degree Completion Program: the Bachelor of Science in Management Studies (BSMS), the Bachelor of Science in Accounting Studies (BSAS), and the Bachelor of Science in Human Services (BSHS). Classes are offered either in the evening once a week, or online. In the fall, spring, and summer terms, classes are offered in 8 week formats, with intensive 4 week classes being offered in the winter and summer.
Master’s Degree
The Puri School of Business offers a Master in Business Administrations (MBA) Degree which can be completed in less than two years. Consisting of 11 three-credit classes (eight core and three electives). Our MBA program is designed for mid- and upper-level leaders that want to advance their career and personal achievements. Classes are offered either in the evening once a week, or online. In the fall, spring, and summer terms, classes are offered in 8 week formats. In addition to outstanding opportunities to expand your global perspective of leadership, marketing, finance, and business law, the program offers you an opportunity to complete a concentration in:
• Health Care Administration
• Finance
• Project Management
• Organizational Leadership
*Note: Students who enter the MBA program not having completed an economics, finance, and an accounting course will need to take additional pre-req courses to complete their degree.
Career Opportunities
As Puri School of Business graduates, students have a wide variety of career opportunities. Our graduates are prepared for sustainable success in graduate school or entry into the workforce. Careers opportunities include roles in leadership, banking, accounting, consulting, marketing, operations, law, government, sales, and public administration, with local, national, and international agencies. Through the Puri School of Business and Rockford University’s Career Development office, our students are offered multiple resources for resume assistance, interview experience, networking, and job fairs.
