Gender Studies Minor
(18 credits)
Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary program that examines issues related to gender identity, the construction of gender, and gender as a category of analysis. Gender intersects with other social constructs such as race and class. The field includes women’s studies, masculinities studies, queer theory, LGBT studies and sexuality. Students will tailor the minor to their own disciplinary interest while exploring related disciplines to better understand the dynamics of gender, identity and power.
