ANSO 324 Anthropology Methods

This course will be an introduction to the research methods used in anthropology. Among these methods we will discuss fieldwork, field notes, participant observation, interviewing techniques, visual methods, collaborative and participatory methods, questionnaire design, and qualitative analysis application software. Additional topics will include cultural domain analysis, ethnographic decision tree analysis, and network analysis. Students will practice some of these methods during small class and course projects during the semester.
