EDUC 514 Multi-Tiered System of Education Support

This course prepares leaders to lead efforts for improving reading, writing, and math computation and application skills for students. Key concepts will include characteristics and factors contributing to struggling learners and provide teachers with strategies to remediate consistent with pre-referral guidelines for federal and state laws, including RTI, scientifically research-based and evidence-based instruction, and frequent progress monitoring of student performance. An emphasis on instructional tools, guidelines for instruction, organizational and teaching strategies, remedial methods and techniques for the students with disabilities in PK-12 will be introduced in this course.
