A minor in Graphic Design will supplement majors from art, computer science, marketing, business, and other programs. The curriculum of this minor will focus on the expansion of visual communication skills, which are growing increasingly important in our fast-paced, image-reliant society. Graphic Design coursework will provide a strong foundation in the principles, theory, and techniques necessary to produce items for print, web, and presentation. Students will learn about relevant forms of media, and how to use them effectively to convey specific ideas and messages. Those who wish to improve their employment opportunities will also find the skill set provided by this minor advantageous, as design and technology become increasingly vital to many fields.
