Organizational Leadership

Organizational Leadership is the management science of developing and meeting the goals of individuals, teams, and organizations simultaneously. A concentration in organizational leadership helps prepare students to be successful leaders and executives. This field of work is dynamic as it involves interactions with individuals, departments, organizations, and global industries. It also focuses on policy alignment and how policies can be enhanced to boost effectiveness and performance within an organization.

Students seeking to concentrate in Organizational Leadership will need to complete nine (9) semester credit hours in any of the following courses:

Accounting/CPA Track (36 credits)

The Accounting/CPA is an MBA track designed for those individuals who want to acquire the necessary course work and hours to qualify to sit for the CPA exam in Illinois. All courses are three credit hours.

The student must take the following accounting courses at Rockford University or equivalent courses at another institution in order to be able to sit for the exam. These courses can be undergraduate courses or taken at the graduate level. All regular PRQ for the MBA program also apply to the Accounting/CPA Track. If these courses are taken at the graduate level as a part of the MBA program, they can be used as electives.
