Middle Grades Education, B.A. or B.S.

The Middle Grades Education program provides general education and professional education courses that address state and institutional requirements leading to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education and a professional educator license (PEL) with an endorsement in middle grades education. Students will choose one or more subject area tracks to complete (literacy, math, science, and social science) besides the Middle Grades professional education coursework. Completing one or more subject area tracks will license a student to teach in that subject area(s) in grades 5-8. A grade of C or higher on all education courses is required to complete the program.
